Give Tees a chance

That Beach Party trip to Costa Rica in 2016 is packed with stories. On so many levels. I remember I ripped one of my precious T-shirts, and I also remember the t-shirt that the coconut guy had when we stopped because Jana suddenly had some severe cravings for coconut water. We had a nice chat with him. I asked what he studied at the university haha…it was his daughter’s tee.
Anyway, since we were on a mission for the UN Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals we talked a lot about reusing, repairing, and of course recycling. So, later on when we were on a beach in Thailand, we made a stop motion film and had wild ideas that we should do a full range of stop motion stories about how to recycle things.
Doing that film today I think we’d use the word upcycling instead. Upcycling is such a great word for fixing stuff. You do something else or better with something that is in pretty bad shape or even broken. Or just not being used at all. Like giving your favourite tees a second chance.
Still very tempting to upcycle that idea actually. And give it a second chance as well.
